Philadelphia has no real chance against the number 1 Miami Heat. James Harden is yet to show up while Rivers and his team is looking for a way to effectively slow down Miami's deep roster. Apparently the Heat is preparing for the return of Embiid but Doc Rivers isn't certain that will come to pass on Friday. With or without the MVP caliber center, these are our predictions for Game 3 of the 76ers v Heat.
Game 3 will not leave much rest for the two sides as the series continue in Philadelphia on May 6. As for the outcome of the first two games, they went just as everyone thought they would. The 76ers are bleeding out without Joel Embiid. Tyrese Maxey was the top scorer of Game 2 as he put up 34 points for Philly. Nevertheless, the 76ers still lost by 16 points. During and after the game, some players seemed frustrated about Harden’s performance. The Beard failed to show up once again and shot only 40% from the field and 25% on threes. Butler and Adebayo dictated the pace for the Heat while Herro and Oladipo also contributed big time from the bench. Miami is preparing for the return of Embiid on Friday but head coach Doc Rivers doesn’t share the optimism. Game 3 predictions of 76ers v Heat still favor Miami.
It’s becoming clearer by each game that the 76ers cannot win this series without Embiid. Even if Philly’s MVP finalist played all games their chances wouldn’t be crystal clear. Miami continues to move the ball around efficiently and utilize all of its offensive options. Once again, this shows how deep their roster is. To put things into a better perspective, the Heat bench outscored Philly’s 52-19. Furthermore, Kyle Lowry is yet to play in this round. All in all, it comes down to whether Joel Embiid plays on Friday or not. If he only returns for Game 4, it might be too late. According to the latest reports, Philadelphia’s big man is feeling better but there’s still no timetable on his return. Our Game 3 predictions of 76ers v Heat favor Miami, with or without Embiid.
