Melodifestivalen 2019 is a Swedish music competition that takes place between 2 February and 9 March. 1. Favorites Hanna Ferm and LIAMOO have shown their qualities in Idol

Online gambling sites in Sweden argue that Hanna Ferm & LIAMOO’s duet song, ‘Hold You’ is the favorite to win Melodifestivalen in 2019. Both of the singers could be familiar from the Idol series. LIAMOO managed to win in 2016, while Hannah was the runner up in 2017.

‘Hold You’ is going to be a song about“it’s important to love despite you’re hurt”, says Hanna. It sounds quite relatable, and with a song like that, the two fan favourites could make their way to Eurovision in 2019. We believe it’s wise to bet on them now, until their odds are still 6.00 at Bet365 Sportsbook.

2. Former winner Anna Bergendahl is back with a Eurovision-expert producer

Anna Bergendahl is a bit more experienced than most of the singers in the competition. She’s actually won Melodifestivalen back in 2010, but was unable to get through the Eurovision semi-finals.

She’s back now with a hit called ‘Ashes to Ashes’, partially created by Thomas G:son, who’s already written 90 songs for the Eurovision Contest. It’s going to be exciting to see how the Eurovision experts can cooperate. We wouldn’t be surprised to eventually see Anna win this competition, and neither do the bookies. Her odds are 9.00 at Bet365 Sportsbook.

Update: 02.08.2018

Anna’s been reportedly struggling to do both her studies and Melodifestivalen at the same time. She requested an additional leave from medical school,  but her future is uncertain. Furthermore, she didn’t even make it to the final yet. She’ll have to perform at the Second Chance Round in March. Bookies believe she’s unlikely to win the competition now, as her odds are 41.00 by now.

3. Instagram star Bishara’s ready for the next step

The odds are 13.00 on the 15-years-old Bishara Morad. The young talent has become really popular recently in the Swedish social media. His vocals have won many Instagram users’ hearts, and now he’s ready to make a step forward and get on the big stage.

He claims that his song is a ballad about ‘love and being heartbroken’, written by last year’s winner, Benjamin Ingrosso. The name “Ingrosso” could be also familiar because of his cousin, Sebastian, who’s a member of Swedish House Mafia. We believe in Benjamin’s songwriting abilities, and if that gets in pair with Bishara’s vocals, it’s surely going to become a great production.

4. Jon Henrik Fjällgren’s working with Britney’s producer

Going through the latest Melodifestivalen 2019 betting odds, we must talk about Jon Henrik Fjällgren as well. The Sweden’s Got Talent 2014 and Let’s Dance 2018 winner has tried his luck in this show before. His best result was being the runner up in 2015, but he’s also competed in 2017.

The title of his song is ‘Norrsken’, which means ‘Northern Lights’. It’s partially written by Fredrik Kempe opera singer and David Kreuger, who’s worked on Britney Spears’ debut album in 1999. These kind of names have managed to convince the bookies as well, Jon’s odds are currently 5.00 at Bet365 Sportsbook.
