Online poker is about to kickstart some live tournament careers.
Winners of the Weekly Super Satellite Tournaments will represent Titan Poker at one of the most exciting poker events in Europe.
According to Irish gambling news, major European poker site and iPoker Network member Titan Poker has began “recruiting” players to join the Irish Winter Festival 2013 in Dublin this October.
It does so by launching weekly Super Satellite tournaments and awarding a EUR 1,700 Prize Package to two winners each week. The package includes flights, hotel, spending money and the buy-in to the festival’s Main Event tourney.
With the game’s popularity on a continuous rise, there is no shortage of applicants who would like to qualify for the event. There have been several live tournament winners who started their careers online, and their stories have motivated countless followers.
Although Irish gambling laws do not authorize casino gambling, they do allow such activities to take place in member-only clubs, which has also made it possible for poker tournaments to flourish.
It is, however, fully authorized to play online poker in Ireland, just as most forms of online gambling are. Thus the Irish poker scene has a continuous supply from the younger demographic even in the absence of widespread land-based poker rooms.
