THW Kiel Extends the Partnership with a German Lottery

The most successful handball team in Germany continues the seven years long collaboration with the regional lottery.

The current German Handball champion signed a new sponsorship agreement with a lottery of Germany. In particular THW Kiel renewed its contract with the regional lottery operator from the North of Germany, Lotto Schleswig-Holstein, reports gambling news.

The newly signed contract imposes an obligation on THW Kiel to retain the logo of Lotto Schleswig-Holstein on the main upper part of the teams new season shirt. On the other side the regional lottery also sees the benefits from the advertising since THW Kiel’s home matches are some of the most visited handball events in the world.

THW Kiel: A successful story

THW Kiel is regarded as the club that gains most sponsorships in the Handball Bundesliga (HBL). It is also regularly considered to be one of the favorites according to the online sportsbooks in Germany, for winning not only the HBL Champions title and the DHB Pokal title, but also the EHF Velux Champions League.

A brief look in the past of the club reveals that the team from the Sparkassen Arena is the most successful handball club in the history of the Handball Bundesliga. This year they won the HBL for an incredible 20th time. There was also no question who won champions league in 2006/07, 2009/10 and 2011/12, as they had a clear march to the throne.
