The Grosvenor 25/25 Events in Dundee and Luton Found Their Winners

The Grosvenor 25/25 Series tournaments in Dundee and Luton were held simultaneously over this weekend.
This weekend saw two big poker events hosted under the British gambling laws sharing the same name. The Grosvenor 25/25 Series tournaments were held in Luton and Dundee simultaneously, sporting great guaranteed prize pools.
The Grosvenor 25/25 event in Luton
The southern event of the series was hosted in Luton British poker room. Maqbool Hashid triumphed there, taking home GBP 12,130 after surviving a 215-strong field of poker enthusiasts. The final table came down to a heads up between him and Christopher Cooper. The 7/1 chip lead proved enough for Hashid, and he ultimately beet Cooper’s flush draw with a set of fours.

The series’ event in the north was a bit more eventful. Marc Leishman took the honors in Dundee after an exhausting 16-hour final day. It was already close to 4AM, when Leishman managed to outsmart the final table participants. After securing enough chips from Chico Lamont by beating him with A7 over KJ, he took the title minutes later with J10 beating Lamont’s 42.
