The Dublin Racing Festival is a popular event with fans of Irish racing, and the festival attracts crowds of over 30,000 people each year. It's a two-day National Hunt racing festival held at Leopardstown Racecourse in Dublin, Ireland. Being the opening event of the Irish jump season and it's considered to be one of the most important racing events in the country.

Notable performances by Sir Gino, Ginny’s Destiny, Noble Yeats, and Lossiemouth have solidified their positions for upcoming Festival races. Now, attention turns to their market rivals, as last year witnessed six horses from Leopardstown claiming victory at the Cheltenham Festival in March. Dublin Racing Festival 2024 Entries

On Saturday, the Arkle Chase favourite, Marine Nationale, aims to strengthen his claim in only his second start over fences. Priced at 8/11 for March, Barry Connell’s stable star may face tougher competition than at Cheltenham. Turners Novices’ Chase favourite Gaelic Warrior presents a challenge, having previously won a Grade 1 over 3 miles at Punchestown last season. After a commanding debut at Limerick over Christmas, he’s now entered for the minimum trip on Saturday, potentially setting the stage for a clash at the Turners in March.

While Galopin Des Champs isn’t the favourite for the Cheltenham Gold Cup yet (best priced at 11/10), according to online sportsbook news in the UK, victory in the Irish Gold Cup on Saturday could change that. He’s expected to face his two-time conqueror, Fastorslow, who aims to bolster his Gold Cup credentials despite being priced as the outsider at 7/2.

Sunday’s events include El Fabiolo strengthening his Champion Chase claims following Jonbon’s defeat in the Clarence House chase. One of the top online sportsbooks in the UK, Bet365 Sportsbook, already has El Fabiolo odds-on for Cheltenham. State Man, at 1/3, seeks a second consecutive victory in the Irish Champion Hurdle. Impaire Et Passe remains persistent over 2 miles, while the impressive Relkeel winner, Bob Olinger, a two-time Festival winner, puts his Champion Hurdle claims to the test. The clash of these contenders underscores the significance of this weekend as a highlight of the racing calendar.
