Bence – The Premier League is over in only 4 gamedays, however Sunderland have 5 more matches to play. They will host Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton, 3 difficult encounters but all at home. In addition, they will visit Stoke City and Watford. In these 5 games they will have to collect the same amount of points as Newcastle, and just 1 more than Norwich will in their last 4 matches. Newcastle will most probably lose to Liverpool and Spurs, while Norwich stand no chance against Arsenal and Man United… Sunderland should be able to avoid relegation, they are in the best position to do so!

Daniel – Though Norwich have lost their last two games against Crystal Palace and fellow relegation battlers Sunderland, they have the least terrible record if you look at the last five games. The Black Cats have a tough schedule and I just don’t buy Newcastle United yet. Norwich also has to play against Arsenal (A), Manchester United (H), Watford (H) and Everton (A) and they might fancy their chances against the latter two. However, since Sunderland also have these two in their schedule, Norwich will have to pick up some points against Arsenal and Manchester United, which they already have done this season drawing against the Gunners at home and winning at Old Trafford.

David – If you bet on sport in the UK, and want to bet on who will avoid relegation, remember one thing: Rafa Benitez is a genius. Sure, he started this season managing Cristiano Ronaldo and now leads a team starring “ginger Pirlo” Jack Colback. That doesn’t mean he’s lost the tactical mastery that saw him win the Champions League, something Sam Allardyce and Alex Neil have not (yet) achieved.

Norwich don’t look like they’ll win another game. Sunderland may have 5 matches to go, but they are all against teams who are better than them. Newcastle should at least beat Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, which would probably be enough to stay up. Then, under Rafa’s guidance, bet on Newcastle to “do a Leicester” next year and win the Premier League in 2017.
