Sportingbet founder Mark Blandford is named as the new chairman of real-time sportsbook platform provider FSB Technology.
FSB Technology are known for their live data feeds and real-time pricing models, whose technology they offer to a number of online sportsbooks in the UK.
It looks like things are going to get shifted around at FSB Technology, who are licensed under UK gambling laws, since the founder of the online betting operator Sportingbet is coming onboard as FSB’s chairman.
Blandford has been in the bookmaking industry since the 1980s, when he set up a chain of shops in the 80s and 90s before he finally established Sportingbet in 1999.
Blandford comes on board at FSB Technology as new chairman
“For Mark to agree to become chairman is a huge endorsement of our team and vision,” said FSB Technology’s co-founder and CEO, David McDowell, “Mark was quick to spot the value of a modern proprietary sportsbetting platform delivered as a B2B service.”
In addition to gaining a new chairman, FSB plans to launch its new managed sports betting solution to provider Genting Alderney. The new deal has instilled Blandford with a great deal of confidence about the company’s business model.
“FSB Tech’s managed sportsbetting solution is the most advanced on the market, while the Genting contract and the strong sales pipeline gives me great confidence in the business model,” said Blandford.
Blandford’s appointment comes after FSB Technology managed to raise GBP 2.6 million in its third round of funding since 2008.
