It’s been years since Sin City saw any new major casinos being built, but the SLS Las Vegas brings a fresh feel to the gambling city.
An old Moroccan-themed venue known to be frequented by Rat Pack members has been turned into a new attraction for gamblers visiting Las Vegas, after SBE Entertainment brought the SLS Hotel & Casino back to life.
“The opening of SLS Las Vegas is a major milestone, not only for the expansion of the SLS Hotels brand, but for the future of Las Vegas,” SBE founder, chairman and chief executive officer Sam Nazarian told reporters.
SBE became the first company to make a major investment in Las Vegas in years, much to the delight of gamblers who are sick of frequenting the same old American poker rooms.
A new local attraction
According to local gambling news, the place went through a complete transformation, and now features modernist towers designed by Phillipe Starck, plus a series of rooms curated by singer Lenny Kravitz.
The kitchen will be run by James Beard award-winning chef Jose Andres, who has been hired as culinary director. The resort also includes three entertainment venues – The Sayers Club, LiFE, and Foxtail – all of which will host concerts.
“We’re very excited to welcome guests to experience the property and the incredible concepts we’ve built,” Nazarian added.
