Just like in men’s tennis, we can also find lots of new young talents in women’s tennis, who can dominate the sport in the next decades. Serena Williams is reaching 40 this September and looks like she won’t be able to win her 24th Grand Slam title. Even though the US star reached the semi-final in this year’s Australian Open and the last 16 in the French Open. She missed most of this season due to different injuries. Some of the older players (over 30) could get some smaller wins this season like Petra Kvitova and Angelique Kerber but younger players have been dominating the WTA Tour. The top three players in the rankings, Ashleigh Barty, Aryna Sabalenka, and Naomi Osaka are all under 26, just like other top 10 players. With some very young talents also achieving great results this year.

US Open Winner Emma Raducanu in Top Rising Women Tennis Stars in 2021

We should start with the player who caused the biggest surprise of this season. 18-year-old Emma Raducanu, who won the 2021 US Open last weekend. She is the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam who defeated another example of the rising women tennis stars in 2021, Leylah Fernandez in the final. Raducanu has already got a great result in this year’s Wimbledon where she reached the last 16. The British teen had to retire there due to breathing difficulties but still got a huge result in her first Grand Slam.

Then came the US Open where Raducanu was unstoppable. She beat Belinda Bencic and Maria Sakkari to reach the final where she also won in two straight sets against Fernandez. Amazing performance from the former world No150 who jumped to 23rd place in the world rankings. She replaced Johanna Konta as the British No1 female player and has become the first British women player to win a Grand Slam since 1977. Next Raducanu is scheduled to play in Chicago Fall Tennis Classic at the end of the month. Actually, online sportsbooks in the US will surely consider her in the favorites now. The other teen finalist, Leylah Fernandez

Let’s check out the other finalists of this year’s US Open, 19-year-old Leylah Fernandez. The Canadian won her first WTA title this year in the 2021 Monterrey Open. While she made her Grand Slam debut last year in the Australian Open. Fernandez got to the third round in the 2020 French Open but no one expected her latest amazing achievement.

Especially as she managed to knock out the defending champion, Naomi Osaka. Former world No1 Angelique Kerber, fifth seed Elina Svitolina and world No2 Aryna Sabalenka on her route to the final. Fernandez also made a huge jump in the world ranking, currently, she is in 28th place. But with a few similar results, she can easily break into the top 20 players of the world.

Bianca Andeescu, Another US Open Winner

Staying in Canada we can find another great young women player, Bianca Andreescu. She won the US Open two years ago, at the age of 19 after defeating Serena Williams in the final. She missed most of last season but returned in the 2021 Australian Open. The world No7 was knocked out early, in the second round there. But she managed to reach the final of the Miami Open this March.

Sadly Andreescu had to retire there and didn’t perform well in the other major tournaments either. Until the 2021 US Open where she got to the fourth round. She lost there eventually against Maria Sakkari in a marathon-long match. Next the 21-year-old can prove her talent in the Indian Wells Masters where she got the win two years ago. Online gambling sites in the US are likely to mention her in the favorites again.

Iga Swiatek is a European Rising Tennis Star

Polish Iga Swiatek is another young woman playing with a Grand Slam title next to her name. She won the 2020 French Open also at the age of 19 causing a huge surprise for all fans and experts. Even though she got some nice results earlier, her victory against Simona Halep in the semi-final and Sofia Kenin in the final was unexpected. She became the first Polish player to win a Grand Slam title and the youngest woman winner since 1992.

Swiatek continued in great form this season as well after winning her first WTA 500 and WTA 1000 title in Adelaide and Rome. She also got to the quarter-final of this year’s French Open. Besides the fourth rounds in the other Grand Slam tournaments. A very balanced performance from the 20-year-old player who is currently in 8th place of the world rankings.

Rising Women Tennis Stars in 2021: Coco Gauff, One of The Most Promising US Talents

Finally, let’s see a young American player who might take the place of Serena Williams one day. 17-year-old Coco Gauff has already got two WTA titles. She won her first one in the 2019 Linz Open at the age of only 15. The second title came this year in the 2021 Emilia-Romagna Open. She reached the fourth round twice in Wimbledon and once in the Australian Open.

But her best result in singles has been getting to the quarter-final of this year’s French Open. While Gauff also reached the final of the 2021 US Open in doubles playing along with Caty McNally. World No23 is one of the biggest talents in the US along with 21-year-old Ann Li and 20-year-old Amanda Anisimova who reached the semi-final of the 2019 French Open.
