Are you a US- or Canada-based player looking to do some NHL betting online this season? Here are our odds for October 14 NHL matches, courtesy of one of the best online sportsbooks in the US, GTbets:
Odds for October 14 NHL matches: Ottawa vs Columbus
The Ottawa Senators have had a strong start, winning two games since things kicked off last week. Tonight, however, they’ll be looking to bounce back after falling 3-1 to the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday. This is also an important match for the Columbus Blue Jackets, who have suffered three straight losses since the season open.
The Senators are the clear favorites to win tonight. Their offense and defense is superior to that of the Blue Jackets, who’ve so far been weak in those areas. They also have goalie Craig Anderson, who is 9-4 in his career versus the Blue Jackets.
Prediction: Ottawa Senators win 2.30 (13/10).
Odds for October 14 NHL matches: Chicago versus Philadelphia
The Chicago Blackhawks are the defending Stanley Cup champions this season, making them a team to watch when considering your online betting NHL betting picks. They suffered a season opening loss to the New York Rangers, but got right back on top by beating the New York Islanders. Similarly, the Philadelphia Flyers had a rough start this season, losing their first two games before a victory in their third game versus the Florida Panthers.
While the Blackhawks are in fine form, the Flyers are a formidable opponent. They hold a 9-1 record in the last 10 times that the Blackhawks played a game in Chicago, and tonight it looks like they’ll be adding another win to that score.
Prediction: Philadelphia Flyers win 2.25 (5/4).
Odds for October 14 NHL matches: Boston vs Colorado
The Boston Bruins are currently at the bottom of the 2015-16 league standings, having lost their first three home games. The Colorado Avalanche, meanwhile, are shooting to get back in the playoffs after having taken last year off. This won’t be difficult, given their all-star lineup that includes Nathan Mackinnon and Jarome Iginla.
The Bruins losing streak is due to come to an end, but it won’t be tonight. They’re facing up against one of the best teams in the NHL, and even if they manage a close score, the Avs have the added advantage tonight of having the last change in the game.
Prediction: Colorado Avalanche win1.68 (20/29).
Odds for October 14 NHL matches: Arizona vs Anaheim
The Arizona Coyotes are recovering from their dismal 2014-15 season in an impressive way, having defeated the Los Angeles Kings and the Pittsburgh Penguins in their first two games. Their early success is due largely in part to their goaltender Mike Smith, who’s given some incredible performances so far this season. In opposition, the Anaheim Ducks have uncharacteristically lost their first two games.
The Coyotes have already beat two major contenders this season, but the Ducks are tough opponents and due for a comeback after a rough start. Taking into account that they’ll be playing a home game tonight, we predict that the Ducks will come up victorious.
Prediction: Anaheim Ducks win 1.40 (20/49).
