PokerStars Aims to Expand Chinese Market with Poker Tournament

PokerStars, together with Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), have announced to sponsor the 2015 Nanjing Millions tournament.
PokerStars and Asia Pacific Poker tour have reached an agreement which will see them organize the 2015 Nanjing Millions. The application for the competition has already been approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Chess Sports Association. CNY 1 million will be divided between the best players in the end of the tournament, according to Chinese gambling news.
The newly announced event will take place in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, People’s Republic of China. Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre Stadium will provide a venue to the contest which is a stadium with capacity of almost 62.000. The first game will start on 14 April and the tournament finishes on 19 April.
APPT President Danny McDonagh is pleased to assist Chinese poker players
Online poker sites in China reported what Danny McDonagh, APPT President, has said, “The growth of poker in China has been tremendous and we are committed to support this sport throughout the region. Nanjing is a key location that allows players from all over the country to participate.”
