The diverse life of the poker pro Mike “The Mouth” Mastusow will be adapted for the big screen by 1984 Professional Defense Contractors.
The project made it into the gambling news and it is produced by Spencer Silna, Adi Shankar and David Uslan. It is mainly based on the autobiography of the player from 2012 – “Check-Raising the Devil.”
The story line
The biography story is developed around Matusow’s problems with drugs, depression, jail, random sex, etc. All this will be presented in the light of his major poker success as a four-time winner at the World Series of Poker as well as winner of the 2005 World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions.
His success wouldn’t have been possible if he didn’t devote huge part of his life to practicing at various US poker rooms, which must have been a challenge having in mind his active lifestyle.
In addition to this bio movie, 1984 had also worked on “Killing Them Softly,” starring Brad Pitt, “The Voices,” starring Ryan Reynolds, Gemma Arterton and Anna Kendrick and “The Grey,” starring Liam Neeson.
