New Jersey poker players are using newly regulated and licensed websites much frequently, according to last week statistics.
US internet casinos offered by Borgata and Party Poker’s partnership had an extremely successful weekend and surpassed the 24-hour peak player statistics of 640.
Compared to other online poker sites in the US, the result is much higher than Chico Poker Network’s 529, but still less than Merge Poker Network’s 767. Additionally, Borgata still has to reach the outstanding results of casino giants like Poker Stars, 888 Poker and iPoker.
New Jersey attracts more and more punters
Poker fans from the state, but also from neighboring places are having great time enjoying the newly licenses sites in New Jersey, making the state even more attractive.
New Jersey online poker success doesn’t seem to be reaching for Ultimate Poker. It was the first to enjoy the New Jersey online gambling market, after the change in US gambling laws, but currently it is not doing so well today. Ultimate Poker’s 24-hour peak player numbers over the weekend was only 44, way behind the leaders Borgata, Party Poker and Caesars Entertainment’s WSOP poker room, which had a record of almost 350 players.
Online casinos in the US are allowed since 2012, after the pass of a new law, which let individual states to give online and mobile licenses within their borders. Currently, only three states are offering these products: Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey, but more are expected to join in the future.
