Opponents of Online Gambling Propose New Scheme to Curb IGaming Development

New strategies are being developed by Washington leaders in order to hinder the enlargement of online gambling across various US states.

On-going analysis are being embarked on by the Washington officials to suggest a new bill that will look into the advantages and disadvantages of online gambling in different states of the USA. Furthermore, gambling news mentions that a ban will be placed on any new state willing to make laws that promote intrastate online gambling.

The new report comes as a result of the Restoration of America’s Wire Act (RAWA). The current bill against online gambling is also supported by Sheldon Adelson and it will make any kind of online gambling across states in the USA to be prohibited. In addition, Sen. Lindsey Graham has also proposed a senate copy of the RAWA to the US house of representative.

Opponents of the RAWA

The RAWA has recently become a controversial issue to deal with in Washington, most especially among politicians. According to online casinos in US, most Republican politicians often argue that the new bill treads on the concepts of “state right.” Furthermore, politicians also complain that the bill is often seen as too sacred, important and valuable to be interfered with.

Casino and lotteries operated by the states have shown disapproval of the RAWA. Furthermore, mobile betting sites report that the current 3 states: Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey, which are involved with IGaming would continue to provide services to their customers. The RAWA bill can still fulfil its purpose despite ill support given to it by the people that are against it.
