New Jersey Online Gambling Laws Might Change Under Trump

According to US gambling news, Senator Jeff Session has previously confirmed that he might revisit New Jersey online gambling laws if chosen as Attorney General.

The New Jersey General Assembly is worried that online gambling will get banned in the state during Donald Trump’s presidency. The New Jersey online gambling law allows Atlantic City casinos to offer various online betting services throughout their affiliates, which have been legal and regulated since 2013. The Assembly released a statement, asking President Trump for support.

In a stetemnt, the Assembly explains that “a federal prohibition against Internet gaming would directly and negatively impact New Jersey,” as Atlantic City casinos have invested lots of money and energy in implementing and regulating the sector. Furthermore, the online gambling sector provides jobs to New Jersey residents and might generate millions of dollars in tax revenue. It also has the potential to “create high-tech software jobs, and foster valuable business ventures for Atlantic City casinos in this State.”
