New Jersey Gambling Experiences Another Decline

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement’s latest gambling statistics indicate a drop in figures in Casino revenue earned in November 2014 from November 2013.

Gambling figures released by New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement show a decline in revenue for 2014. Released on Friday, the gambling statistics indicated figures are down for a second year.

Atlantic City casinos, in total, show revenue of $202.5 million for November 2014. This reflects a 10.3 percent decrease when compared to $225.7 million earned for November 2013.

Similar hits have also been seen in US gambling news. According to Associated Press, Nevada earnings have been down for a third-straight month. Nevada Gaming Board statistics indicate that $914 million earned for October 2014 is also down from October of last year.

New Jersey Gambling figures indicate that internet casino profits and online poker earning of 8.73 million were also down by 8.8 percent from last month.

New Jersey Online Gambling Sites Gain Greater Foothold in Market

Although internet earnings were down, new player signup were up 5.7 percent from last month. New player signups have increased to a total of 506.172 signups since legalization under US Gambling Laws in November of 2013.

This year the companies that dominated the internet sector included Party Poker-Borgata Alliance, Tropicana, Golden Nugget, Betfair and Ceasars Interactive.

With revenue earnings of $3.36 million in November, Party Poker-Borgata Alliance held 38 percent of the market share. Yearly internet revenues show earnings of $40.7 million.

Coming in at second place was Tropicana with revenues of $2.2 million in November. Golden Nugget and Betfair followed respectfully holding 17.6 and 6.2 percent of the market share. Ceasars Interactive came in behind reporting a revenue of $1.10 million for November.
