New Jersey Boasts of Increase in Online Gaming Revenue in January

Even with rising revenues of over $2.5 million, Golden Nugget has the lowest in New Jersey.

New Jersey has notably upped its online gambling revenue in January, according the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, who reported the numbers in accordance with US gambling laws, to compare with last year’s figures. The overall online gaming earnings were estimated to be around $11.6 million. This means that there has been a 22.3% rise from the $9.5 million profits made in 2014, around the same period.

Also this represents an 8% increase on all gambling revenues collected in December 2014. Borgata, and their online poker brand PartyPoker, are at the top of online gambling market in New Jersey, showing a $3.8 million in profits for January although this is a decrease of $100, 000, when compared to January 2013.

Amazing overall increase from last year in New Jersey’s gambling industry

The Tropicana Casino is another top earner shooting up by 204.4% to $2.6 million, a rather momentous increase in mobile mobile casino gambling, compared to last year’s Q1. New Jersey also witnessed soaring gambling revenues of 0.9% year-on-year, reaching a total of $197.6 million last month. Golden Nugget had an amazing 759% year-on-year increase, although it is the least successful of the 4 remaining casinos.

The $197.6 million produced by current operators in January 2015, is up 18.8% more than the $166.3 million generated by the same operators in January of last year. What is good to note though is that there is a much higher percentage increase over last year, in total gaming wins, despite having fewer casinos this year, around the same period.
