Online gambling giant Virgin Games announced the introduction of Virgin Casino Mobile

Virgin Games operates in full compliance with British gambling laws and is one of the most popular online casinos in Britain. It has recently announced the introduction of its mobile casino division – Virgin Casino Mobile.

Close collaboration with mobile marketing specialists Somo resulted in development of a unique mobile casino gaming content based on Virgin Games technology. The new product will be integrated into the group’s existing platform and will become a multi-content offering with games from a wide range of partners.

The single wallet system of Virgin Games is also attached, allowing members to use the same account for Virgin Casino, Virgin Poker, Virgin Bingo and one of the newest mobile casinos in United Kingdom. Registration, account management, depositing, withdrawing and naturally playing can now either be done via a PC or a mobile device.

The initial offerings will come from Microgaming mobile content through QuickFire platform, however Virgin Games is expected to introduce a number of games from other mobile content suppliers just as the operator does at its online casino.

Commenting the launch, Simon Burridge, CEO of Virgin Games, told United Kingdom gambling news: “With Smartphone penetration now exceeding 40 percent in the UK, customers want and expect to be able to do on their phone what they do on their PC. With the launch of Virgin Casino Mobile we’re simply responding to this demand.”

He went on to add: “While the gaming industry has been on the cusp of a mobile revolution for some time, 2011 has really been the year when the planets have aligned to make mobile gaming a more attractive proposition. For us, we see it as the right time in the company’s life, the industry’s life and the technology is ready.”

Microgaming CEO, Roger Raatgever, had the following comments: “We are very happy to continue expanding our strong share in the mobile market by providing Virgin Games with our suite of mobile content through QuickFire. In the past, we have seen joint success with our QuickFire partnership with Virgin Games so we are confident that together we can seize all the opportunities the mobile gaming market currently presents to providers.”
