Maren Morris and Thomas Rhett Up at 2020 ACM Best Artist Odds

The 55th Academy of Country Music Awards will broadcast on September 16, with a host of top artists in contention. We look at the potential winners of two of the most anticipated awards including the best female and male artists of the year. According to the 2020 ACM best artist odds, Maren Morris and Thomas Rhett are the massive favorites.

The event was originally scheduled for April 15. But, due to the current situation, it was postponed to September 16. Besides, It will officially broadcast for the first time in its 55-year-history from Nashville, Tennessee, instead of Las Vegas or other cities. Three iconic venues will host the show including the Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium, and the Bluebird Cafe.

Online sportsbook news sites in the United States have announced that the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Keith Urban will present the show. Plenty of big names in country music received nominations back on February 27. Each of Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, alongside the Producer Dann Huff got five nods. They are followed by Dan + Shay, Justin Bieber, and Blake Shelton with four nods.

Morris rightfully up for the best female artist

Maren Morris had the best year for the ladies. She has been all over the radio with hits on country and pop stations. It is no surprise that she received her fourth female artist of the year nomination. Rhett on top of the list for the best male artist

The best male artist category is also packed with some great singers. Thomas Rhett is on top of the list with -208. Although he won the award last year, fans will be thrilled to see him receive it again in September. Rhett is also up for album of the year as both artist and producer for “Center Point Road” and Video of the year for “Remember You Young”.

Alongside Rhett, the host Keith Urban is in the contest with +900 odds. Urban is the four-time Grammy winner and 15 ACM Awards winner. This is his 13th nomination for male artist of the year, by which only two other artists have tallied more nominations in this category.

In the same category the young singer-songwriter Luke Combs has been named. Last year he won the new male artist of the year. It will be very intriguing to see him win this year with +200 odds. Besides, all of Chris Stapleton (+1600) and Dierks Bentley (+2000) are competing but less hopeful to win.
