South Korean Inbee Park and American Nelly Korda are the top favorites
The 2021 LPGA Lotte Championship is held this week between 14th and 17th of April at the Kapolei Golf Club in Hawaii. The event was cancelled last season but it returns back with a strong field. Including the two-time winner Brooke Henderson, world No2 Inbee Park and other top 10 players who are all mentioned in the LPGA Lotte Championship predictions.
The first Lotte Championship was held in 2012 at the Ko Olina Golf Club in Kapolei, Hawaii and has been organized there until last season. When sadly the event was cancelled. But now it’s back to the calendar in a new location with almost every top player taking part in it. The championship has a special significance as it also offers the first opportunity to collect points for the Olympics and the Solheim Cup. Canadian Brooke Henderson managed to defend her 2018 title in the following year and will compete again. After the surprise win of Patty Tavatanakit at the ANA Inspiration last week, top 10 players are the favorites again. Surely everyone will enjoy the competition in this beautiful island and will compete for her share of the $2million prize fund.
LPGA Lotte Championship predictions offer same odds for Park and Korda
Online sportsbooks in the US offer the same odds, +700 for both Inbee Park and Nelly Korda’s victory in their LPGA Lotte Championship predictions. Park is currently in second place in the world ranking. She has won the 2021 KIA Classic and finished 7T in the ANA Inspiration last week. The 32-year-old South Korean is the defending Olympic champion and wants to defend her title in Tokyo. But it’s a very tough task to get into the South Korean team. As only four players can represent each country. Now Park’s place looks certain though which can inspire her for another great result.
Just like American Nelly Korda, who is world No4 at the moment, being ahead of her compatriots. She has also won a tournament already in the season, the 2021 Gainbridge Championship. While she finished 3T in last week’s ANA Inspiration. The younger Korda sister has only competed once in Hawaii before, in 2019 when she finished eighth. This season she has been in top form though which makes her a top favorite. With another win, Korda can also increase her lead in the point race and move up on the world ranking as well.
Other favorites include Ko, Kim and Kang
New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko is also in the top favorites with the odds of +900. Even though she is further down on the ranking with her 11th place, Ko is also having a strong season so far. She was the runner-up in last week’s ANA Inspiration just like in Gainbridge. The former world No1, who was only 17 that time, can easily get another great result here. Especially as she has already finished second here a few years ago, back in 2017.
Online gambling sites in the US mention another local favorite, Danielle Kang with the odds of +1100 to get her sixth LPGA wins. Kang started the year well with a second-place finish in the Diamond Resorts Tournament. She achieved two more top-10 finishes since. In Hawaii her best result is a fifth-place finish but she can improve on that now. Just like Sei Young Kim, who follows Park in the world ranking. Following a 3T finish in the first major tournament of the season. Kim has already won this tournament in 2015 defeating Park in the playoff. Now her odds to do it again is +1000 on BetOnline.
