Liga MX Betting Guide: An Introduction
The Liga MX is Mexico’s premier football league. All of the top teams in the country, such as America, Guadalajara, Cruz Azul, Monterrey, and so on, all make this league extremely exciting to watch. One thing that is unique about the Liga MX is that each season two leagues are played: the Apertura and the Clausura. This is different from most leagues, where a single campaign is played in a calendar year, and this makes the Liga MX even more exciting to watch as there is more chance for clubs to win silverware in a single year.

Liga MX Brands and Sponsors
Football is arguably the most watched sport in the world. There are all types of supporters, from the diehard fanatics who buy all the merchandise, have season tickets, and know all the team chants, all the way to the casual spectators who may watch the most high-profile games and watch the occasional league match.
If you can find football matches dating back to the 70s and before, you will notice that there is not only a huge difference in the way the game is played and the fashion of the time – but in most cases there is little or no branding on any of the kits. The footballers played in plain jerseys, with small badges and their team numbers on the back of their shirts, and there were no brands splashed across their shirts. This is in stark contrast with the kits nowadays, which are redesigned every year with quirky third kits, small changes in the main kits, and of course, big logos across the shirts
Sponsors are an important part of football. They used to be responsible for merely providing the team kits and equipment, but now clubs sign multi-million dollar deals for sponsors. These deals can be used to update facilities, increase club marketing, and perhaps most important of all, the money can be used to buy new players in the transfer season. There have been many iconic kits in football, and the superbrands who have their logos or names printed on the shirt will no doubt have been thrilled at the surge in their sales, but who are these brands? Here, we will take a look at which companies sponsor Liga MX clubs.

Liga MX Betting Guide: How to Bet on the Play-offs
The Liga MX is the premier division of football in Mexico. The footballers in this league are amongst the best in the country, and there are also quite a few foreign players in each of the clubs, making this league highly competitive. This league is highly interesting as it is split into two tournaments, the Torneo Apertura and the Torneo Clausura.
The Liga MX does not use a relegation and promotion format with the Liga de Expansion MX, which sits below it. Instead, the league has two exciting playoff tournaments that determine the winners of the Torneo Apertura and Clausura. This system was created in 1970, following the World Cup that was hosted by Mexico.
At the end of the season, there is a coefficient table that determines which teams have to pay fines. The points are collected from the past 6 Apertura and Clausura regular seasons, and the three teams at the bottom of the table have to pay $MXN160 million, of which $MXN80 million needs to be paid by the team at the bottom, $MXN47 million needs to be paid by the team second from the bottom, and $MXN33 million needs to be paid by the team third from the bottom.
There is also an aggregate table, which takes the points scored over both Apertura and Clausura regular leagues, and these determine which clubs can play in the Concacaf Champions League.
The Liga MX Torneo Apertura
The Torneo Apertura starts with a league competition, and once each team plays against all 17 other teams once, the 4 teams at the top of the table qualify for the quarter finals. The teams placed fifth to twelfth have to play in the reclassification playoff, where they are paired against each other and the four teams that win the single game elimination round join the top 4 in the quarter finals. From there onwards, the top eight teams need to compete in double legged elimination rounds. The team that wins the two legged final becomes the winner of the Torneo Apertura.
The Liga MX Torneo Clausura
The Torneo Clausura is the second part of the league, and it follows the same league structure and final tournament structure. In the league, the teams play against each other in a single leg robin round, and they do not carry over any points from the Torneo Apertura. The top 4 qualify for the quarter finals in the knockout round. The teams placed fifth through twelfth have to play in the reclassification, and the four teams that win can proceed to the quarter finals. These are also played in a double leg format, and the winner of the final wins the Torneo Clausura.
Betting on the Liga MX Playoffs
Whilst the regular league of the Apertura and Torneo will determine which clubs enter the knockout tournaments at the end of each league, the league rankings have very little to do with what happens. Any team that qualifies for the playoffs can go on to win either tournament, and they can even become champions without having a large number of points in either of the leagues.
You can find plenty of bets on each of these tournaments. There will be bets on which team will win the Apertura or Clausura, which you can place at any time during the regular season or playoffs, and you can even find these bets before the tournaments begin.
You can also bet on each of the individual games in the tournament. These can range from the simplest bets such as which team will win the leg or which team will advance, all the way to specific game props that relate to in game statistics.
For example, you may find bets on goals, corners, bookings, and even those that relate to the final result but in more detail such as half time/full time result, correct score, will the game go to penalties, which team will score the last goal, and so on.
