  • RB Leipzig vs PSG in the first semi-final at Champions League
  • Teams will meet on Tuesday night at Estadio da Luz
  • PSG are the favourites to get to the final with Mbappe in the starting team

We could witness many surprises already in this year’s Champions League final from Lisbon. Thanks to the new format and with one game deciding the winner of the ties, small teams got the chance to surprise their much favoured opponents. Like Leipzid did against Atletico Madrid. We check in the Leipzig vs PSG betting preview what are their chances against the French titans

In the first quarter-final in the Champions League Paris Saint-Germain won 2-1 against Italian side Atalanta. But their victory was only achieved at the very end of the game. After the scores of Marquinhos in the 90th and the winning goal from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in the 93rd minute. So the French champion was on the brink of going out after this season’s surprise team, Atalanta showed a superb play again. They will definitely need more against Leipzig who stunned the much more experienced Atletico Madrid on Thursday night. The Germans took the lead with a header of Dani Olmo in the second half but the Spanish side could equalise with a penalty. Then with a late goal of American Tyler Adams Leipzig won the game and knocked-out the favourites of the tie.

Leipzig vs PSG betting preview can’t see another miracle happening

Online sportsbooks in Portugal are predicting a PSG victory with the odds of 1.75. So bookmakers think the French stars will defeat Leipzig after learning from their mistakes in the previous game. Probably Neymar will concentrate a bit more to score a goal from his big opportunities. The odds also suggest that PSG will win the game in the normal 90 minutes (1.75) and won’t need extra time (9.50) or penalties (15.00) to get to the final. Both teams are expected to score with the odds of 1.57 which also predict a high number of goals. The odds of 3 or more goals is 1.57 while less goals have the odds of 2.37.

Are you betting?

And who can score the first goal? Well, the most likely person is Kylian Mbappe, who was very convincing after he came on in the second half of the game against Atalanta. But it’s still not sure that he can play a full, 90 minutes game. Which case Neymar’ chances of scoring might increase, at the moment his odds are 5.00 on bet365. From the German team Danish forward Yussuf Poulsen has the most chances of scoring any time in the game with the odds of 3.10.

Leipzig can hope in its great defence and fast forwards

Online gambling sites in Portugal are offering the odds of 4.33 for a German win and 2.75 for  their qualification for the final. So their situation is not hopeless and they might cause another surprise in the tournament. Their defense was brilliant against Atletico with the outstanding play of French defender Dayot Upamecano. Probably he will have a more difficult job now against Kylian Mbappe than Diego Costa, but he will surely try to perform his best. Just like his teammates whose average age is only 24 but already real professionals and work great as a team.

Thanks to the great work of their super young manager, Julian Nagelsmann who started his coaching career at Thomas Tuchel’s side at Augsburg. Plus the French side will miss their goalkeeper, Keylor Navas following he picked up an injury in the last game. It still might be too much to expect another victory from Leipzig, but it won’t be an easy game for PSG as the odds of the winning margin suggest. PSG has the odds of 3.75 at Bet365 to win with one goal in the Leipzig vs PSG betting preview. To find all the odds and betting options just visit bet365 and tune on Tuesday night.
