Legalized New Jersey Sports Betting Still in Limbo

Legalized New Jersey sports betting may come a little later than initially planned, as the US Supreme Court has delayed making their decision.
For a time, it looked like New Jersey would finally make US gambling news by legalizing and regulating sports betting inside their casinos. This state is one of the biggest US casino gambling hot spots outside of Las Vegas, although sports gambling has remained illegal here.
Now, the US Supreme Court has delayed their decision to hear from New Jersey lawmakers who aim to legalize sports betting in the state. The Supreme Court is said to have requested a meeting with the Solicitor General, and will reschedule the case for a later date.
This is disappointing news for many in New Jersey, as the gambling industry has been struggling here for the past decade. Many believe legalized New Jersey sports betting could be exactly the type of thing to help rejuvenate the industry.
