Las Vegas Testing Agency Expands Ahead of US Regulation Changes

BMM International, a testing agency based in Las Vegas, announced its expansion almost quadrupling the size of its offices. 100 new software engineers are currently being recruited on top of already existing 50.

The move is regarded as preparation for a change in American gambling laws, which will potentially allow online poker operations in the state of Nevada for starters. The enterprise moved to Las Vegas from Australia over 10 years ago hoping to become the official testing company for Nevada regulators.

Wendy Anderson, the company spokesperson, told United States gambling news that the move was primarily triggered by rapid growth in both land-based and online gambling activity as well as probable change in gambling regulations. The statement from Nevada regulators on their intention to outsource the testing activities also played a role in BMM’s decision.

Wendy Anderson commented: “We hope to be able to offer our testing and certification services for Nevada manufacturers at the discretion of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.” She also added that there had been a growing interest from Nevada gaming manufacturers in BMM’s services.

The probability of legal online poker sites in United States is high, and Anderson was quick to notice that: “As the online sector develops in the United States, we are using our expertise more and more to support this growth across our ever-increasing roster of online customers.”

The new offices of BMM International are located close to the Las Vegas airport and feature training and educational facilities on top of laboratories and workshops.

It remains to be seen if BMM’s hopes of becoming the official testing company for the Nevada regulators will convert into reality.
