We’ll take a look at some thrilling games set to be played this weekend in La Liga round 27.
In part II of the betting preview, we’ll present another 4 matches that are set on the agenda for Sunday and Monday. Spanish gambling news report that Almeria will try to climb out of the relegation zone against Villarreal at home, while Malaga will receive a visit from Cordoba later in the day on Sunday.
• Malaga will face Cordoba at home
• Villarreal will square off against Almeria away
• Real Madrid looking to break bad spell against Levante
In the evening, the mighty Real Madrid will try to break the current spell and achieve a comfortable victory against the lower side Levante. Los Blancos have been underperforming for some time now, so they will aim to please their fans by putting on a good show. And finally, the last game of matchday 27 will see Getafe go head to head with Real Sociedad on Monday night.
Almeria vs Villarreal and Malaga vs Cordoba
Almeria will undoubtedly face a tough time against Villarreal when they get a visit form the Yellow Submarine on Sunday. The hosts currently lie in 18th spot with an overall of 24 points and their form has been pretty disappointing (2 losses, 2 draws and 1 win). While playing at home they have recorded only 1 wins, while the all the other games ended in 5 draws and 6 losses. That is why Bet365 has given them unfavorable chances 4.00 (3/1).
Villarreal sit in 6th place with 48 points and are on the verge of entering the top 5 mold. All they have to do is put on a few more good performances and they will be able to surpass Sevilla on the table. Their results on the road are decent, although they could have done better at times as they recorded 4 wins, 6 draws and 3 losses. Even still, Bet635 ranks them as favorites 2.00 (1/1) for the game, with the draw being another remote possibility 3.30 (23/10).
Malaga will square off against Cordoba in a game that should see the former side clinch a win. Javi Garcia’s men currently occupy 7th position in the league thanks to notching 41 points overall, however their form has been pretty unstable in recent matches. They recorded 3 losses and 2 wins over the last 5 games, however online sportsbooks in Spain still have high hopes 1.57 (4/7) for them in the upcoming game.
Cordoba on the other hand sit in 20th position with only 18 points to their name. they have not won a league game since the beginning of the year when they managed to beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0 away. So far they have notched 7 straight losses so it was easy for Bet365 to give them outsider chances 7.00 (6/1). A draw between them is not probable 3.75 (11/4), as Malaga will most likely win the encounter.
Real Madrid vs Levante and Getafe vs Real Sociedad
Real Madrid have been going through some difficult times lately. They were the favorites to lift the league title at the beginning of the season, however now they have slumped to second place on the table as they lost their incredible form. They drew against Villarreal at home and then they suffered a loss against Athletic Bilbao away, while also experiencing challenges against Schalke in the Champions Leguae.
Hopefully, the Royal Club will use the upcoming match against Levante as the perfect opportunity to get back to their winning ways so they can seriously compete for the trophy. The Valencia-based side sit in 17th place with 25 points, however they don’t realistically stand a chance against Real Madrid. Bet365 has given Los Blancos absolute favorite odds 1.06 (1/11), while a win for the visitors stands at 34.00 (33/1). A draw has been set at 13.00 (12/1).
Getafe will play against Real Sociedad at home on Monday evening where they will be looking to take advantage of knowing their own ground. However both the hosts and the visiting team have underperformed many times this season, which has granted them almost equal results. The Madrid-based club sit in 12th with 29 points, while Real Sociedad find themselves one place above their upcoming opponents.
Mobile betting sites believe that a tie 3.20 (11/5) between them is most likely, given that they both achieved similar results so far. Getafe have won 5 games, while the rest of the encounters ended in 3 draws and 5 losses, with their odds being 2.30 (13/10). The visitors have been assigned limited chances 3.30 (23/10), as they will be playing away from home where they recorded only negative results (6 losses, 6 draws and 0 wins).
