Join us as we go through some of the reaming games in this weekend’s La Liga encounters.
Spanish gambling news report that Valencia, who are currently in 4th position, will go head to head with Real Sociedad. The fact that they’ll be playing at home should help them clinch a much needed victory. Sevilla and Atletico Madrid will clash later on Sunday evening as each side aims to make further advancement up the table.
• Atletico Madrid will go head to head with Sevilla away
• Valencia should be able to overcome Real Sociedad at home
• Real Madrid will clash against Villarreal at the Bernabeu
Real Madrid will host Villarreal on Sunday night in a game that should offer plenty of betting opportunities for dedicated punters. The game will most likely see the hosts claim all the points from the encounter. And lastly we will also take a look at the game between Celta Vigo and Elche, a game that seems unstable due to their recent performances.
Valencia vs Real Sociedad and Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid
Valencia sit in 4th spot with 50 points from 24 games so far. At the start of the season they were hoping to achieve better results until this stage of the campaign however they weren’t successful in utilizing all of their players. Newly recruited striker Alvaro Negredo, on loan from Manchester City, wasn’t able to replicate the same performances that he put on for the Sky Blues last season.
However, Bet365 gave them favorite odds 1.57 (4/7) against Real Sociedad at home, considering their better standing in the league. The visiting side have been assigned limited chances 6.00 (5/1) since they haven’t won a single game away from home. Their games on the road consist of 6 draws and 5 losses so they are not viewed as serious contenders for the match. a draw has been set at 4.00 (3/1), although in reality Valencia will most likely win.
Sevilla are preparing to face a challenging task against the current defending La Liga champions Atletico Madrid. This game will be held on Sunday evening and will be the main showpiece of matchday 25. While playing at home the Andalusian side have recorded a massive 9 wins and only 3 draws without suffering any losses, so they will be aiming to replicate the same performances they have been achieving until this point.
Atletico Madrid have been great this season although in reality they won’t be able to win the title once again. They are in 3rd spot with 53 points and they maintain a decent away record (6 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses). Despite not being very convincing away from home, mobile betting sites have decided to award them favorite status 2.50 (3/2). Sevilla on the other hand have been given underdog chances at home 3.00 (2/1), while a draw stands at 3.20 (11/5).
Real Madrid vs Villarrel and Celta Vigo vs Elche
Real Madrid are the favorites to win the league this season judging how well they have played in recent times. They last won the domestic title in 2012 when Jose Mourinho was in charge, however now they will be looking to clinch their first La Liga trophy with Carlo Ancelotti. Considering that Los Blancos have lost only once at home, with all the rest being victories, they are the obvious favorites 1.20 (1/5) to win against Villarreal.
The travelling team are the complete outsiders 13.00 (12/1) by Bet365 for this great clash and although they are not likely to win it should still prove to be a superb game to watch. They sit in 6th place with 44 points and over the last 5 games they have recorded 2 losses and 3 wins. A draw 7.00 (6/1) is most that they can hope for although Real Madrid will probably win at home.
Celta Vigo currently occupy 8th position on the table thanks to their 31 points so far. They have achieved a decent run in recent times (1 loss, 1 draw and 3 wins over the last 5 games), but overall their home results have not been the greatest (5 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses). Bet365 has set their odds at 1.50 (1/2), while a more likely draw stands at 4.20 (16/5).
Elche are the team that many bigger sides get easy points off. They sit in a low 17th position and have managed to record only 23 points overall. Their form has been pretty uncertain as well (2 wins and 3 losses), while playing on the road has seen them win 3 times, whereas the rest of the encounters ended in 2 draws and 6 losses. Online sportsbooks in Spain don’t have high hopes for them, giving them negative odds 7.00 (6/1).
