• Barcelona will travel to Bilbao on Sunday evening
• Rayo Vallecano will go head to head with Elche
• Cordoba will be looking to beat Almeria
Espanyol will play against fifth-placed Valencia, however looking at the results the visiting side may in fact seal a win. The clash between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid won’t be the only big encounter as Barcelona will take on Athletic Bilbao away. And lastly, we will also take a look at the game between Elche and Rayo Vallecano.
Cordoba vs Almeria and Espanyol vs Valencia
Cordoba currently sit in 17th place with only 18 points from 21 games so they find themselves dangerously close to the relegation zone. If they slip up against Almeria, who are only one place ahead of them on the table, they could easily slip into the last 3 places of the league. Playing at home they have won only 1 game, while the rest of the times the matches ended in a staggering 6 draws and 4 losses.
Almeria are almost an equal club to Cordoba judging by their standing and performance in the league. On the road they maintain a record of 4 wins, 1 draw and a massive 6 losses. Bet365 have earmarked the hosts to win 2.30 (13/10) on their own turf, while Almeria have been branded as outsiders 3.40 (12/5). A draw on the other has been set at 3.10 (21/10), but looking at the visiting side’s record this may not be very likely.
Espanyol will host Valencia on Sunday evening and just simply by looking at their standings in the league, we can see that the latter is in a far better shape at the moment. The Catalan side sit 9th in the league and have managed to get 6 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses while playing at home. However, due to Valencia’s better position in the league (5th place), Espanyol are not considered as the favorite side to win 2.80 (9/5) the game, per Bet365.
Valencia have performed splendidly at times this season, however on several occasions they have slipped and lost essential points which resulted in them dropping down a bit. They have a total of 41 points from 21 games so far and while on the road they have notched 3 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses. Online sportbooks in Spain are certain that they’ll be able to pull off a win 2.63 (13/8), despite the 4 ties they had previously while playing away.
Athletic Bilbao vs Barcelona and Elche vs Rayo Vallecano
On Saturday we will have a chance to witness a great game take place between two of Madrid’s biggest clubs, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. But the excitement doesn’t stop after that encounter as Athletic Bilbao will go head to head with Barcelona in what promises to be a solid game. They are currently in 11th place and have a record of 3 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses while playing one their home ground.
Barcelona are 2nd in the league and still don’t resemble a fully confident side that can challenge for the top trophies. While playing away from home they have managed to get 7 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses, which isn’t bad however a club of their status should have done better. When it comes this upcoming game, Bet365 strongly favors the Catalan powerhouse 1.33 (1/3), whereas Athletic have been assigned outsider chances 9.00 (8/1)
Elche currently occupy the 19th spot on the table and are only 1 point ahead of the last-placed Levante. Over the last 5 matches they have won twice while the rest of the times the games ended in 2 draws and also 2 losses. Their upcoming opponents Rayo Vallecano sit in 12th position with 23 points overall and have an uncertain record of 5 wins, 1 draw and 5 losses.
Mobile betting provides have decided to give both sides equal chances to seal a win. Bet365 has given each of them odds of 2.75 (7/4) as the game could go in either way at any given moment. A draw between the two stands at 3.10 (21/10), however judging by Vallecano’s recent performances, the match is not likely to end in a tie.
