The Grand Prix of Portland was holding races between 1984 and 2007 then it returned to the IndyCar series in 2018. The event was canceled last year so the defending winner is Will Power who can get a good result this season again. Just like the other main favorites who can still win this year’s championship. From the current leader, Mexican Pato O’Ward to the six-time series champion Scott Dixon. In the former race winners, we can also find former F1-driver Takuma Sato whose victory now would be a huge surprise. Unlike another win from Josef Newgarden who won the last race in Gateway. With only two races left after the Portland Grand Prix, surely every top contender will go for the victory in the 110-lap race on Sunday.

IndyCar Portland GP Winner Odds Mention Dixon and Newgarden in Top Favorites

Scott Dixon is one of the most experienced and successful IndyCar drivers in the field. He won the IndyCar series six times including last season. But at the moment he is only in fourth place in the standings, 43 points behind the leader. So the New Zealand driver would need a good result now in Portland, with only three races left from the season. Dixon has already raced in this circuit four times before but didn’t achieve top results, finishing fifth and seventh. After his disappointing results in the last two races, he should get the win now to fight for the title.

Online sportsbooks in New Zealand offer the odds of 6.50 for his victory. But the same odds are offered to Josef Newgarden as well. The two-time IndyCar champion has also finished fifth in the race here in 2019 so will have some advantage over the debutants. The American is currently in third place in the championship with two wins. His latest victory came in the last race at Gateway but he was also close to winning on three more occasions. The Team Penske driver is 22 points out of the lead with a big chance to get his third title. But this season we can see new faces as title contenders, who can all win according to the IndyCar Portland GP winner odds.

IndyCar Portland GP Winner Odds: What is the Chances of O’Ward, Palou, and Herta?

At the moment Pato O’Ward leads the overall standings, 10 points ahead of Alex Palou. The Mexican driver has won two races in the season so far. He also finished three more times on the podium. He is only 22, but this is already his fourth season in the series. Though in the first two years he was only racing in a few races. During those years O’Ward did win through the Indy Lights series with Andretti Motorsport after winning nine of the 17 races. He finished fourth last season in the championship and has a massive chance to win the title now. After being fastest in this circuit during the summer test, his odds to win now are also 6.50.

Online gambling sites in New Zealand also mention Colton Herta who is in 6th place in the standings. The 21-year-old American is another huge talent who finished second behind O’Ward in the Indy Lights series in 2018. He got one win this season back in April but he’s had very mixed results ever since. Herta was fast in the last three races though and could have won in Nashville without his crash. His odds to win now are also 6.50 on 22Bet. While Spanish Alex Palou would need a good result as well to get back to the title fight. He was leading the championship but dropped to second place now due to his latest results. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver is still having his best season with two wins and four podium finishes. His odds to get the victory on his first appearance at the track are 13.00.
