Indiana to Regulate DFS

A number of bills are about to pass state legislation in Indiana to regulate DFS.

Two bills were pushed forward recently in Indiana legislation. Those are designed in Indiana to regulate DFS according to US gambling laws. DFS would be distinguished from online gambling in Indiana. Gambling is strictly regulated in the state and its tax is also higher.

Alan Morrison, who created one of the bills, expressed that since DFS in Indiana is virtually unregulated, the bills are very important to pass. He said, “The attorney general of Indiana hasn’t offered an opinion on this and it has been left up to the General Assembly. I think it’s time to do something,” US gambling news report.

He said that he wants DFS sites to operate in the state. Moreover, he also suggested that Indiana casinos and racinos should also join the fantasy sports market.
