UFC 238 is going to present a very close fight for the vacant UFC bantamweight title. Henry Cejudo vs Marlon Moraes betting odds are in favor of the Brazilian. However, both contenders are confident about their success in the octagon.

Henry Cejudo was crowned the UFC Flyweight Champion after beating Demetrious Johnson last summer. Later, he defended his title against the UFC Bantamweight Champion, T.J. Dillashaw on January 19, 2019.

Henry Cejudo smashed him into the ground with multiple fast punches within 32 seconds. Despite using EPO drugs, Dillashaw could not survive the first round. He even lost his bantamweight title due to the failed drug test.

Henry Cejudo believes Moraes is a greater threat than T.J Dillashaw

Henry Cejudo “The Messenger” is one of the hottest UFC fighters nowadays. He beat the former UFC Bantamweight Champion with a blink of an eye. However, Cejudo has the idea that Marlon Moraes is a much more dangerous contender.

“The only reason Moraes is not a champ is that he didn’t have the chance to fight for the gold yet. He throws very powerful punches and all it takes is one hit to end the fight,” said Cejudo. However, Cejudo believes his weapons will overcome the Brazilian’s strike force.

Henry Cejudo is an Olympic gold medalist in wrestling

Cejudo started his career by practicing freestyle wrestling. Following his success in the field, he won an Olympic gold medal in Beijing in the summer of 2008. Cejudo continued his martial arts career by practicing Muay Thai and Karate.

Cejudo’s MMA record is 2 losses and 14 wins, 6 of them by knockout. High-velocity kicks and punches are weapons he possesses. In addition, Cejudo is very good at defending takedowns; you just can’t wrestle an Olympic gold medalist.

Marlon Moraes ended his last three fights in the first round

Brilliant results earned Moraes “Magic” a chance to fight for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. Moraes won his last 4 fights against John Dodson, Aljamain Sterling, Jimmie Rivera, and most recently, Raphael Assunção.

He finished the last three fights in the first round. Which earned him the Performance of the Night award three times. Moraes uses unpredictable heavy punches and submission skills as weapons to finish his opponents.

Moraes hates Cejudo for no specific reasons

Marlon Moraes is not very fond of his opponent Henry Cejudo. “I don’t like the way he acts, I don’t like his behavior and his attitude. Sometimes you just look at some people and don’t like them,” said Moraes.

“It will be so exciting for me to beat him. I’m confident that he won’t be able to stop me in the octagon,” he added. Not only Moraes, but online sportsbooks in the UK also don’t think Cejudo is going to win the match.
