According to
online gambling news, famous Ethiopian runner, Haile Gebrselassie, decided to retire from competitive running. After two successful decades of competition, two Olympic gold medals, nine IAAF world titles and fifteen official world records, he announced his retirement at the Great Manchester Run.

The popular sportsman remains, to this day, the world record holder at 20,000 meters and is also known for establishing the Great Ethiopian Run. Not only is he a world-famous athlete, he is the Ambassador for more than one organisation within the United Nations, too, like the UN Development Programme.

It seems like the world-renowned runner is quitting for real.

This, however, is not the first time that the runner legend announced that he would be retiring. In 2010, he had to drop out of the New York Marathon due to a severe knee injury. It seemed like he has reached the end of his competitive career. Yet, after a couple of months, he was back on the racing track.

Mobile betting sites report that after the Great Manchester run, Haile Gebrselassie said the following, “I’m retiring from competitive running, not from running. You cannot stop running, this is my life.” He told the reporter that he was “very happy to stop here,” and that he “knew this was going to be the last one.”
