Stage III of Spanish Poker Championship will be held at the Grand Casino de Badajoz in Spain this April
April 8 to 10 will see a gathering of poker aces from Spain and Portugal to contest the third stage of Spanish VI Championship of Poker (CEP). Direct buy-in is set at 660 Euro, however poker enthusiasts can qualify through one of many satellite tournaments held at online poker sites in Spain and all over the world.
Playing live poker is absolutely legal under current Spanish gambling laws, and so is online poker. However online gambling regulations are soon to undergo considerable changes, opening Spanish market to EU operators. Ongoing taxation dispute is the only thing standing in the way of the new legislation.
Gran Casino Extremadura expects a high participation of Portuguese players in the CEP because of the links and proximity to Portugal. Players can show off their poker skills and come to Spain with the desire to demonstrate their excellence at poker.
The 3rd stage of the Championship is a new opportunity for players to accumulate points for the overall rankings in CEP and to achieve higher placing at the national championship later this year. Yet this is not the only incentive for players, who can bag major awards based on their ranking in this tournament.
Poker aficionados can also qualify through satellites that Gran Casino Extremadura organized with entrance fees well below the main event’s buy-in.
