Poker Stars relocates Full Tilt Poker IT background to the Isle of Man. FTP begins operating on 6th November, 2012, and promises to pay out non-US players.
Apart from releasing new details from the ongoing Howard Lederer saga, Full Tilt Poker has hit the British gambling news with its announced reorganization.
Poker Stars continues with rebuilding Full Tilt Poker’s operation, following its acquisition authorization from the US Department of Justice.
Poker Stars favored destination for the Full Tilt Poker IT background is the Isle of Man. The island enjoys a special status as a self-governing British Crown Dependency. Part of the British Isles, the Isle of Man is located in the Irish Sea between the Great Britain and Ireland. Its laws are significantly better for running gambling background operations than the British gambling laws.
The local TV featured a report showing the landing of an aircraft that was supposed to bring Full Tilt Poker’s servers over from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, where FTP operated among other its British poker rooms.
Poker Stars communications chief Eric Hollreiser commented in the report: “It was a great resolution for us. We were able to acquire the assets of Full Tilt Poker, which was one of our largest competitors, so e will be able to grow as a result.”
The coverage mentioned that Poker Stars intends to have the Full Tilt servers up and running again soon, with Hollreiser stating: “It is a large task but I am confident we can do it so by the 6th November the site will be open, players will be playing again and able to access their funds.”
Hollreiser added: “In addition to the assets, we’ve taken on a couple hundred staff so we are growing, Full Tilt Poker is growing, we think the poker community is certainly embracing it and the business will come with that as well.”
In the coverage, Hollreiser also confirmed that Poker Stars intends to pay out all non-US players within ninety days of the acquisition deal closing.
