Here are the results of the UEFA Europa League Group Stage Draw 2018/19!
The Europa League Group Stage Draw 2018/19 has been held earlier today in Monaco.
After the Champions League Group Stage Draw 2018/19, the sorting for the Europa League group stages have also been held earlier today. Online sportsbook news sites in the European Union only talk about the teams who are more likely to qualify for the next stage. Let’s see the most exciting groups!
Group A: Leverkusen, Ludogorets, Zurich, AEK Larnaca
Leverkusen came here from Pot 1 and as such, they are obviously the biggest favourites to win the group. Bulgarian champions Ludogorets might be the second biggest favourite, but they will need to play better against Zurich and AEK Larnaca than they did in the UCL qualifiers…
Group B: Salzburg, Celtic, Leipzig, Rosenborg
This group got pretty exciting as the two Red Bull team got drawn against each other: Leipzig will play against Salzburg. In addition to that, they will also have Celtic to make qualification an even more interesting topic. Which teams o you think will qualify? One major side is sure to be eliminated…
Group C: Zenit, FC Kobenhavn, Bordeaux, Slavia Praha
Zenit have experience in this competition as they were Europa League winners back in 2008. They are not among the biggest favourties this year, but still they should be able to win their group. Unless frequent Champions League group stage member FC Kobenhavn thinks otherwise. Bordeaux and Slavia Praha could easily become less important side-members in this group.
Group D: Anderlecht, Fenerbahce, Dinamo Zagreb, Trnava
One of the toughest quartets of the Europa League group stage draw 2018/19 is definitely Group D. Anderlecht, Fenerbahce, Dinamo Zagreb, they all could be counted as favourites in any other groups, but here only 2 can make it. Which one will be the weakest of them?
Group E: Arsenal, Sporting, Qarabag, Vorskla
Arsenal are among the hottest picks at sites in the online sportsbook directory, when it comes to Europa League outright winner favourites. Sporting should be #2 in this group, but they face huge problems lately, and Qarabag could be able to take advantage of their chaotic situation. Will you bet on Qarabag to qualify?
Group F: Olympiacos, Milan, Betis, Dudelange
Dudelange are the very first Luxembourgian team in history to ever participate in the group stages of any continental tournament (meaning, Europa League or Champions League). However, their heroic run is likely to end as the other three teams are much stronger. Milan, Betis and Olympiacos will have a tough job as at least one of them will be knocked out.
Group G: Villarreal, Rapid Wien, Spartak Moscow, Rangers
Rangers came back to European football this year and they will face a difficult challenge immediately. Villarreal are possibly winning their group, at least according to all Europa League betting odds. Pot 4 member Rangers could make it to the second spot, unless the Russian or the Austrian team think otherwise…
Group H: Lazio, Marseille, Frankfurt, Apollon Limassol
Lazio have high ambitions in this year’s Europa League as they hope to win in order to qualify for next season’s Champions League. However, they won’t have an easy task even from the group stages. Marseille were great during the previous season as well, while German Cup winner Frankfurt also come with greater things to achieve… We will see who of these 3 will be able to qualify. At least one must go, for sure.
Group I: Besiktas, Genk, Malmö, Sarpsborg
In here, the teams from Pot 1 and Pot 2 are regarded as the biggest favourites: Besiktas should be able to win, while Genk are likely to qualify on the 2nd spot. Malmö are in a horrible form and you shouldn’t bet on Sarpsbort to qualify either. The Europa League Group Stagedraw 2018/19 was very friendly with Besiktas.
Group J: Sevilla, Krasnodar, Standard Liége, Akhisarspor
Sevilla are the kings of Europa League and as such, they also run as favourites to win the competition this year. The Europa League Group Stage Draw 2018/19 didn’t hold them back in this goal of theirs: they should easily win their group and qualify for the Round of 32. Standard Liége could be the other team by their side.
Group K: Dinamo Kiev, Astana, Rennes, Jablonec
This one is seemingly among the weakest Europa League groups this year. None of the teams seem likely to win the competition but two of them will surely qualify. The best UK sportsbook sites are also indecisive, but possibly Ligue 1 side Rennes could qualify together with Dinamo Kiev.
Group L: Chelsea, PAOK, BATE, Vidi
Online sportsbook sites in the UK regard Chelsea as not only the biggest favourites to win this group, but also they are the biggest favourites to win Europa League. They should easily win Group L, the only question should be: who will qualify in the second place?
