Endemol Games UK Appoint New Managing Director

The UK division of multi-platform entertainment producer Endemol has appointed a new managing director of its Endemol Games business with an in-house promotion.

Owain Walbyoff, who previously served as commercial director of Endemol Games, has been promoted to the position as reported in British gambling news.

Walbyoff will replace the outgoing Jurian van der Meer, who was recently appointed as commercial director of Endemol Netherlands, where Endemol are headquartered.

In his new role, Walbyoff will oversee the licensing and monetizing of Endemol and any affiliated third-party entertainment properties.

Rising through the ranks

Walbyoff first joined Endemol Games in 2009 under the head of business development position; he was then promoted to commercial director in January 2013.

Lucas Church, appointed chief executive officer for Endemol UK, was quoted as saying: “Owain has great creative and commercial talent and his experience and expertise in the gaming sphere make him the ideal person to lead Endemol Games into the next phase of growth.”

Endemol games UK have a significant holding in the gambling industry, producing and licensing games for land based, online, and mobile casinos worldwide.
