DraftKings Buys MMA Fantasy Site Kountermove

The operator that already offered mixed martial arts DFS contests, will get 30,000 more players as DraftKings buys MMA fantasy site Kountermove.
It’s not a surprise that DraftKings buys MMA fantasy site competitor Kountermove. DraftKings has been offering mixed martial arts daily fantasy contests for a while. They also established themselves as the leaders in this market. They currently serve around 200,000 users, but will get 30,000 more buy acquiring Kountermove, US gambling news report.
DraftKings buys MMA fantasy site is a logical step
Matt Kalish, founder of DraftKings explained that they had been looking for a similar step for a while. He said, “We had been looking for opportunities to grow our presence in combat sports, so it was a very logical fit for us to come together. Any time you can come on and compete against another group of people in bigger games, the idea of coming together is really an added experience for everybody to be a part of it.”
Kountermove co-founder Brian Knapp revealed, “We’ve gotten to know the DraftKings team over the past year-and-a-half since they entered the market, and being the leaders in fantasy for combat sports, really looked to them as a partner for growing the overall space of MMA.”
He added, “We at Kountermove knew that the real way to have many, many more MMA fans enjoying fantasy MMA worldwide was to partner with the leader in overall daily fantasy.”
