CNIGA Approves UAIC Membership Application at Annual Meeting

The California Nations Indian Gaming Association confirms the recent membership of the United Auburn Indian Community and approves applications from BIS and ILCC at CNIGA annual meeting.

The latest in gambling news from the US’s branch of Indian gaming concerns the recent addition to the CNIGA association. UAIC’s application was approved by unanimous vote by CNIGA’s board of directors at the association’s annual meeting in December.

UAIC’s Auburn Ranchera is located in the Sierra Nevada in California, close to the town of Auburn, however the group itself operates in the Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, which is also located within the state of California.

CNIGA protects the sovereign right of Indian tribes to have gaming on federally recognized Indian lands. US gambling laws allows for the federal regulation of Indian gaming, as established under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988.

CNIGA acts as a coordinating agency for legislative policy, legal and communication efforts.

In other news, the CNIGA board of directors had also approved the membership applications submitted by BIS and ILCC (the Indian Land Capital Company).

ILCC is a Native American owned financial institution specializing in alternative loans for Indian nations for tribal land acquisition, whereas BIC provides casino managers visually enabled analytic solutions.

John Tucker was also re-elected unanimously to his role of CNIGA’s chairman again at this year’s meeting. This marks his third term as the chairman of the association.
