British Poker Room Dusk Till Dawn is Hosting a Week-long Sky Poker UK Poker Championship

Dusk Till Dawn poker club in Nottigham will be hosting the debut Sky Poker UK Poker Championship poker festival.

The inaugural Sky Poker UK Poker Championship kicked off yesterday at a beautiful British poker room Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham. The poker festival has a whopping guaranteed prize pool of GBP 800,000, which will certainly grow as poker fans buy-in for the tournaments.

The poker championship is held in full compliance with the British gambling laws until Sunday, February 23rd. There are six bracelets up for grabs, including one for the massive GBP 500,000 guaranteed Main Event with a GBP 1,100 buy-in.

The Main Event will have two opening flights, the first of which will commence on February 19th at 1PM, GMT. The poker tourney already has 450 entrants, some of them have made their way through qualifiers at online poker sites in the UK. More registrants are expected before the kick-off.

The interest in the upcoming poker festival is so great that Rob Yong, the chief of Dusk Till Dawn had to appeal to players in British gambling news, urging them to choose Wednesday as a starting day. He said: “DTD is a damn big card room with 50 tables, but this event is really building some serious momentum now, and I am a little concerned that we could end up turning players away on Thursday (Day 1b) because so far everyone is choosing that day to play.”

He went on to add: “Me and Simon have agreed there is no way we will deal this prestigious event 10 handed, just to get more players in, so our capacity is 450 and we will also need extra tables for satellites, PLO and cash games later on. The structure is so good that we don’t expect many bust-outs between 1pm and 6pm when the PLO starts, therefore, I am appealing to those players who can play Wednesday Day 1a to help me out and play that day :)”.
