Bookmakers Vying a Win for Swedish Song Undo at Eurovision 2014

Sanna Nielsen’s song Undo among the favorite to win the Eurovision, as the finals come to life later in the evening.

Following the comic problems at the recent semi-final rounds of the Eurovision, mobile betting firms have released their forecasts about the possible winners of the competition.

According to William Hill, Sweden’s singing sensation Sanna Nielsen is set for superstardom, as her song “Undo” is ranked highly on the chart, with odds of 11/4.

Other competitors trail closely behind, with Netherlands’ song “Calm After the Storm” having 3/1 odds, and Austria’s “Rise Like a Phoenix” having 7/2.

Armenia’s song “Not Alone” placed fourth with 5/1 odds, while “Children of the Universe” by UK’s Molly Smitten-Downes ranks fifth at 9/1.

There will be a significant increase in bets, as it is widely believed that over GBP 1 million will be placed on the competition in total.

The company’s spokesperson stated, “We have never seen so many bets on the Eurovision Song Contest – records could be broken and there is even a chance we will see a UK winner.”

San Marino the least likely to win

Gambling news indicate that San Marino has received the least favorable odds for winning the singing competition. William Hill gave them odds of 250/1, which highlights the high improbability of a win. On the other hand, betting company You Win assigned odds of 500/1 for San Marino.

Belarus is the other nation that ranks at the bottom of the odds list, with 250/1. Montenegro, Slovenia and Germany are also rated poorly, with each country having odds of 200/1.
