With only a week until the next president is decided, now is the time to bet on which political party will win in each state with Bovada!
Political betting has become one of the most popular novelty betting options around the world. There is only one week before the next US president is elected, now let’s take a look at some swing state’s betting odds for the winning political party.
Colorado
Colorado is considered to be a crucial swing state in the 2016 election. As the election draws closer, it seems that Hillary Clinton holds a major advantage in the Colorado polls, with a 45% average over Trump’s 38% average.
Unsurprisingly, the Democrats are the betting favorites to win Colorado with odds of -400, according to Bovada. The Republicans are the slight underdogs with odds of +250. It remains to be seen who comes out on top on election day, but for now it looks the Democrats will come out victorious.
Nevada
Another important swing state for the 2016 election is Nevada. This state appears to be much closer in the polls, with Democrats leading with a 46% average, and the Republicans with a 43% average.
For many years Nevada was known as a Republican state, but over the past 8 years it has grown increasingly bluer. Early voter turnouts made US gambling news by suggesting that Clinton could get the nomination here, and the Democrats are the betting favorites with odds of -250, and the Republicans the underdogs with odds of +170. This could be a great bet on which political party wins, as a wager on the Republicans could earn you serious cash if they come out on top.
Ohio
Ohio is always a crucial swing state for the presidential election. Early reports claim the Republicans hold the lead with a voting average of 46%, while the Democrats just barely trail behind with a voting average of 45%.
If the Republicans lose Ohio, it seems likely that they will lose the election. Trump has been pushing hard for the vote here, and so far it seems to be paying off. The Republicans are the Bovada betting favorites with odds of -230, and the Democrats the slight underdogs to win with odds of +160.
Florida
Out of all the swing states, this might be the most important for the 2016 election. It is also the closest according to betting averages, with the Democrats’ average at 45.4%, and the Republicans’ average at 45.2%.
Florida holds one of the largest amount of electoral college votes, and if Trump fails to win here, it will be almost impossible for him to win the presidency. The betting odds are almost even here, with the Democrats odds to win completely even, and the Republicans odds to win at -140.
