Belgium will hold elections on May 26th. The three leading parties are the New Flemish Alliance, Christian Democratic and Flemish, and Reformist movement. Currently, N-VA holds the highest odds. Let us take a look at the three parties and bet on 2019 Belgian EU elections.
There will be 24 MEPs elected in Belgium. As we are all aware of there are three electoral colleges in Belgium. The German, the French and the Dutch-speaking electorate. Belgian citizens will vote in the electorate in which they reside and are registered.

Reformist Movement (MR) | 4.32 |
New Flemish Alliance N-VA- rightists in disguise
New Flemish Alliance is a relatively new party but has become the largest party in Belgium. They currently do not have any strong opposition and have 4 seats in the parliament. The party works towards greater Flemish autonomy from Belgium. The current odds of N-VA winning majority of the seats are 2.60.
There are various other regional differences between Flanders and the other regions of Belgium. All in all, Flanders are doing better than the rest of Belgium. The Flanders region has higher GDP per capita, lower youth unemployment, and higher benefits.
Although they do not identify as far-right, many people see them and their policies that way. In 2018 they pulled the plug on the government after the government was supposed to support a UN immigration deal. Moreover, they have copied and pasted propaganda from the German AfD right-wing party. Due to the above-mentioned reasons, the odds of them not winning the majority of seats are 1.59.
Christian Democratic and Flemish – CD & V
The Christian Democratic and Flemish (3.74) is the second largest party in Belgium. The party won the 2014 elections. They were traditionally the largest country of Flanders until it was overtaken by the more rightist N-VA. As of now, CD&V has two seats in the parliament.
According to online sportsbook news in Belgium, all across Europe, Christian democratic groups are losing support. With more and more young people separating the church and the state. Of course, an exception to this would be Germany’s CDU. however, CD & V is not an exception. In addition to that, with N-VA becoming the strongest party in Flanders, they are losing their grip on power more and more. Therefore, we do not suggest voting for them as the party to win most seats.
Reformist Movement (MR)- the least likely bet on 2019 Belgian EU elections
The Reformist movement (4.32) belongs to the French-speaking territory of Belgium. They currently hold 3 seats in the European Parliament. Charles Michel the current Prime Minister of Belgium is the leader of the Reformist Movement. The party is an alliance between three French-speaking and one German-speaking liberal party.
We don’t think this party will manage to grasp the most number of seats in this election. Belgians are not that happy with their leader Charles Michel. Michel offered his resignation to the king back in December but the King held off on making a decision. However, with May 26th approaching us soon, it is highly unlikely that Michel’s government stays in power.
There was a power tug of war between Michel and the N-VA party over an international migration pact which led to his resignation.
