Asian Poker Tour Event in Manila Started Today

Asian Poker Tour 2012’ games started at the Resorts World Manila’s Prosperity Court, Manila.
Now confirmed in the Filipino gambling news: games started at the Asian Poker Tour 2012’s stop in Manila in the Philippines. The event is being held at Resorts World Manila’s Prosperity Court on the 2nd Level Gaming Area, between September 19th and 25th.
The Philippine capital city is the fourth stop of the poker tour’s Asian Series, following Cebu Ctiy, Philippines, Goa, India, and Grand Bay, Mauritius.
Manila is dubbed by many as the emerging hotspot in Asian poker, partly because its casinos host the best Filipino poker rooms.
The APT event has a full schedule. All events are run in accordance with the Philippine gambling laws. The highlight is of course the PHP 50,000-Main Event, expected to draw more participants than three previous Asian Series stops.
Among the side events the very first 10-6-4 Handed event, the six satellites and an Add-On for Charity event is very well worth the attention. Also being held during the event are: The Ladies’ Poker competition, The Head Hunter tournament, the PokerAce High Rollers, the MegaSportsWorld Deep Stack Turbo event, the DafaPoker Freezeout competition and the Six-Handed event.
After the poker tournament in Manila, the ATP will take a two-month break. The next stop is Svay Rieng for the APT Asian Series Cambodia 2012 from November 14 to November 20.
The series makes its final stop this year at the Casino Royale Goa in Panjim, India between December 3rd and 9th, 2012. The Main Event buy in is INR 140,000.
Korea’s Jeju is scheduled to host next year’s first Asian Poker Tour event between February 27 and March 5, 2013.
