North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries protests against the introduction of new legislation banning online gambling.

Senators Lindsey Graham and Jason Chaffetz are the ones responsible for attempting to secure the new legislation preventing all forms of mobile betting. The new bill would restore the US Wire Act, and if passed, it would only allow fantasy games and horseracing.
David Gale, NASPL executive director, strongly opposes the bill’s introduction and has expressed his concern regarding the matter in a letter written to Senator Graham.
Gale asserts that his association hold s a strong belief that states should reserve the right to “determine the games that are offered, as well as the manner in which they are being delivered to customers.”

Further support for NASPL provided by C4COP

The Coalition for Consumer and Online Protection was initially started by Sheldon Adelson, chairman of casino and report company Las Vegas Sands Corporation, to prevent the ban of mobile casino gambling.
Adelson’s Coalition attempted to tackle the policies set by the Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling.
Around a week ago, Gale’s letter to Senator Graham was published on C4COP’s website, which is supposed to highlight the shared objectives between the two organizations.
Along with NASPL and C4COP, the National Conference of State Legislatures has also expressed its concern over the new bill, as it will proceed to protest against its implementation.
