Serena Williams has reached the final of the Miami Open an incredible ten times. She’s won eight of them, and she’s seeking a fourth title in a row! Just as at Indian Wells, the biggest threat to Serena is the Belarusian world number eight. She beat William convincingly, 6-4 6-4, to win her second Indian Wells title. It took a long time, but it seems like Azarenka has finally got back to the form she achieved before her injury troubles. She has won the Miami Open twice before, and she will be desperate to maintain her momentum in order to get back where she belongs: near the top of the WTA rankings. Agnieszka Radwańska

Skillful Polish player Radwańska won Miami in 2012, and has the ability to sweep away all but the very best. If you bet on sports in Poland, you’ll know that her reliability means that she’s always likely reach a tournament’s latter stages. And if things fall her way, she can pounce. She pushed Serena Williams in their Indian Wells semi-final, and it could take Serena to stop her this time. She is 13.00 (12/1) to win.

Simona Halep

Last year, Halep came into the Miami Open fresh from a victory at Indian wells and took Serena to three sets in the semi-finals. She has the ability, but lately she hasn’t been achieving what she is capable of. She’s been hampered by injury and illness but last week she looked closer to her best, until she faced Serena in the quarter finals. If the draw pans out like expected, she’ll play Radwańska in the quarters. At 8.5 (15/2), the former world number 2 could be one of the best WTA Miami open bets.

Belinda Bencic

The talented teen has work to do to maintain her place in the top 10, and a deep run at the Miami Open would be a great place to start. She hasn’t had a terrific season so far, losing to Magdaléna Rybáriková in the third round at Indian Wells. However, she reached the fourth round at the 2015 Miami Open, and since then she has improved. She has a lot of potential, and the surface here should suit her, so she as a shot. Daria Kasatkina

Russian prodigy Kasatkina is best on clay, but reached the quarters at Indian Wells. She is set to face Halep in the second round, and will be looking to continue her impressive form so far this season. She has risen incredibly fast in recent weeks and months, her year getting off to a great start by beating Venus Williams in January’s ASB classic. It’s unlikely she’ll win Miami but her odds seem too high for a star of the future; it’ll certainly make gambling news if she goes far.
