50 Cent to Wager $1.6 Million on his Boxing Friend Mayweather

The American rap star believes his friend will be able to defeat Pacquiao and to prove it he is willing to place a substantial bet on him.

Manny Pacquiao will take on Floyd Mayweather on May 2 in the MGM Grand Garden Arena of Las Vegas, Nevada. According to US gambling news, Mayweather is the favourite for the fight as it can be seen by the odds as well. Bet365 set the odds at 1.40 (2/5) for Mayweather while Pacquiao has been dealt underdog chances 3.00 (2/1).

50 Cent,the ex-member of The Money Game, is in a good relationship with the American boxer and he trusts his friend so much that he is planning to place a massive bet of $1.6 million for defeating Pacquiao. “I got the champ. The champ gonna smoke him. It’s gonna look like [the fight] was pumped up for no reason.“ The rap star said.

50 Cent and Mayweather share a long friendship

The rapper and the undefeated boxer have maintained their friendship for a number of years now, and although they have shared some differences recently they still remain close. Last year the musician promised to donate $750.000 to charity if Mayweather could read at least one page of the Harry Potter series.

As a response, the boxer sent him a photo of his last two paycheck and said: ‘’I’d be perfect at reading if it was how I had to feed my family.“ According to mobile betting sites, Mayweather really enjoys gambling, and it seems like some part of his enthusiasm has been overtaken by the rapper Curtis Jackson (50 Cent).
