The first edition of the Dana Open was held in 1984 at the Glengarry Country Club in the village of Holland. But it was moved to its current location, the Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania in 1989. It has been held every year ever since except in 1986 and 2011, so players will return to a familiar course.

South Korean Se Ri Pak has the most victories here with five wins while three more players managed to win here more than once. Including the top favorite, Lydia Ko who finished on top in 2014 and 2016. Japanese player Nasa Hataoka is the defending champion and can play well again. Along with other winners of the season like Minjee Lee and Brooke Henderson.

2022 LPGA Dana Open Odds Favor the Two-Time Winner

Lydia Ko is currently in fourth place in the world rankings and has been in good form all season. Her only win this year is from January, the Gainbridge at Boca Rio, Ko performed well in all her latest major tournaments. Finishing T3 in the Evian Championship and T7 in the British Open.

She was fourth last weekend in the CP Women’s Open in Canada, which is another promising sign ahead of this weekend. The two-time winner of this tournament is favored to win again by online sportsbooks in the US. They offer the smallest odds, +750.00 for her victory.

Minjee Lee is mentioned next in the 2022 LPGA Dana Open odds among the top favorites. The world No3 won her second major title this year at the 2022 US Women’s Open. She also finished T2 in the Women’s PGA Championship and T4 in the AIG Women’s Open.

A very impressive result from the 26-year-old Australian who has the odds of +1000.00 to win in Ohio. Last year’s winner, Nasa Hataoka won the DIO Implant LA Open this season. And she also got five top ten finishes since then. The 23-year-old Japanese has good memories from this court and the odds of +1100.00 to defend her title.

Chances of Other Major Champions and Former Tournament Winners

Another major winner of the season, Brooke Henderson will also compete in the event. The Canadian won her second major title at the 2022 Evian Championship. It was also her second win of the year following her success at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Her odds to get her third trophy in 2022 are +1600.00.

The other three major champions in the season, Jennifer Kupcho, Chun In-gee, and Ashleigh Buhai will also compete in this tournament. But their chances of winning now are not very likely according to the bookmakers. KPMG Women’s PGA Championship winner Chun In-gee has the best odds with +2200.00 to win again.

Online gambling sites in the US offer her compatriots, Hyo-joo Kim and Hye Jin Choi smaller odds, +1200.00 and +1400.00 to win the open. Both players have been in good form all year. Kim won the 2022 Lotte Championship and finished T3 in the Evian Championship. While Choi was third in the 2022 US Women’s Open. Of the US players, Danielle Kang has the best result in this course after winning here in 2020.

She had a great start in 2022 after a win and a second-place finish. But she couldn’t achieve similar results in the rest of the season. The world No2 Nelly Korda will miss the event. While the fans’ favorite, Paula Creamer will make her LPGA Tour return here following giving birth. The 36-year-old American won this tournament in 2008 though winning it now would be such a huge surprise, that she is not even listed on Bet Online.
