  • 2021 NASCAR Buschy McBusch 400 is held this Sunday, 2nd of May in Kansas
  • Denny Hamlin won the race last year and is in the top favorites
  • Brad Keselowski has won here twice and in good form after winning last weekend

The next race in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series is held this Sunday, 2nd of May at Kansas Speedway in Kansas. Denny Hamlin is the defending champion of this race and the current leader of the series. So it’s not surprising that the 2021 NASCAR Buschy McBusch 400 odds favor him to win the race ahead of his main rivals.

The first spring race at Kansas Speedway was organized ten years ago, in 2011 with Brad Keselowski winning it. The Team Penske driver managed to win here twice, just like the current series leader, Denny Hamlin. Interestingly Hamlin hasn’t won any race in the season yet, unlike 9 other drivers. He is still leading the overall standing though thanks to his balanced performance. And mentioned in the top favorites to get the victory here. Just like the 2020 series champion, Chase Elliott who is also looking for his first win of the season. The race is contested over 267 laps on the 1,5 mile asphalt speedway. The winner of the previous race in Talladega, Brad Keselowski will start from the pole position. Joined by the young Hendrick Motorsports driver, William Byron who is doing great this season.

2021 NASCAR Buschy McBusch 400 odds mention Hamlin and Elliott as top favorites

Denny Hamlin has won in Kansas three times so far. Two of his victories are from the spring race in 2012 and 2020. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver currently leads the driver’s standings after generally performing well in the season. Hamlin finished five times on the podium and only twice outside of the top 10. But he got his worst result in the previous race in Talladega after finishing only in 32nd place. Now Hamlin is predicted to get a much better result by online sportsbooks in the US. Who offer the smallest odds, +600 for his victory.

2021 NASCAR Buschy McBusch 400 odds
Let’s race!

The defending series champion, Chase Elliott has a very rhapsodic season so far with very mixed results. The Hendrick Motorsports driver has only four top10 finishes in 2021 but he usually drives well in Kansas. He won the 2018 playoff race here and has six top 10 finishes in his last 10 starts. Which makes him another favorite with the odds of +700 in the 2021 NASCAR Buschy McBusch 400 odds. The same odds are offered for Martin Truex Jr. who is second behind Hamlin in the overall standings. The 2017 series champion has won here in that year, and finished in the top 6 in his last eights starts. Truex didn’t have a great race last weekend so surely he will aim for a better result now.

Can Keselowski win again?

Brad Keselowski is in 6th place at the moment in the championship. He is in great form though after winning the previous race last weekend. The runner-up of the 2020 season got his first win of the season in Talladega after finishing second in Las Vegas earlier. The two-time winner of this race also finished as a runner-up twice here making him a big favorite as well. His odds to win his second race in a row is +800.

Online gambling sites in the US offer the same odds for Kyle Larson’s victory. The No5 Chevrolet Cameo driver has been the fastest in these kinds of tracks and won the race in Las Vegas this March. Larson might not be as consistent as the other top drivers, eg. he only finished 40th last weekend. But the reason for this poor result was a mechanical issue which he can hopefully avoid this time. While Kevin Harvick will also try to improve on his 2021 performance. The winner of 9 races last season hasn’t got any win this year. And he only finished in the top five three times. But the Stewart-Haas driver has already won in this track three times and has the odds of +900 to cross the line first.
