Hamilton can win his 6th title in Barcelona, but Verstappen has also won here before
Formula 1 drivers don’t have too much time to rest as the circuit moves to Spain for the Catalan Grand Prix this weekend. Lewis Hamilton showcased his superb skills again in the previous race in Portimao. So it’s not surprising at all that he is the biggest favorite to win in the 2021 F1 Spanish race odds. But Max Verstappen will surely try everything to keep up with the Mercedes driver. While Valteri Bottas should show some results now.
The circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya held its first Formula 1 race in 1991, 30 years ago. When Ayrton Senna and Nigel Mansell went head-to-head to win the race. Hopefully we can see similarly exciting moments this Sunday when the seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton can battle with Max Verstappen again. Or maybe with his teammate, Valteri Bottas who finished third in the previous race. To see anyone else winning the race would be a miracle after the dominance of Mercedes and Red Bull. But there can be a tighter fight for the lower positions between McLaren, Ferrari and maybe Renault.
2021 F1 Spanish race odds expect same winning order
Lewis Hamilton can get his 6th win in Barcelona and equal Michael Schumacher’s record here. He started the season with a win in Bahrain then he made an unusual mistake in Imola, which meant a second-place finish after a manic last few laps. The British driver was back to winning last weekend after another superb drive. As Hamilton started only from the second place and was overtaken by Verstappen in the beginning of the race. But he took back his place easily and got ahead of Bottas by the 20th lap. After no one threatened his victory which was his 97th win.
Now online sportsbooks in Spain offer the smallest odds, 2.10 for his victory. While Verstappen’s odds are 2.50 in the 2021 F1 Spanish race odds. The Red Bull driver looks like the real rival of Hamilton again. But he would need a bit more speed from his car to catch the champion. He might not beat him in this race though where history and current form all support Hamilton’s win. But it won’t stop the young Dutch to do everything he can to get his second win in Barcelona after 2016. We should also mention Valteri Bottas who has the odds of 7.50 to win the race. But honestly the Finnish driver just didn’t seem to compete at the same level as the other two pilots at the moment.
Bet on the winner of the qualifier and other top 6 finishers
The Finnish Mercedes driver might have a better chance to win the qualifier though. He has already beaten Hamilton in Imola last weekend and with some luck he can do it again. Just like Verstappen who won the qualifier of the first race, in Bahrain. Bookmakers offering almost the same odds for the championship leaders to be the fastest on Saturday with the odds of 2.10 and 2.20. But if you’re already bored to bet on the same names every weekend, just make a bet on the results of other drivers.
Like Lando Norris, who has been driving great so far after finishing in the top 5 in the first three races. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest talents of the sport who can win several points for Mclaren again. No wonder online gambling sites in Spain expect him in the top 6 with the odds of 1.50. And even another podium finish for him has a real chance with the odds of 2.37. on bet365. Interestingly Pierre Gasly has even smaller odds, 1.28 to achieve that. While the big local favorite, Fernando Alonso could be happy with a top 6 finish as well. The two-time champion’s return with Renault hasn’t gone too smoothly but they seem to get better race by race. So now on home soil Alonso might get his best result of the season and finish in the top 6.
