  • The New XFL returns after almost a 20-year break
  • Oddsmakers currently favor Dallas Renegades
  • The New York Guardians have already participated in the original XFL
  • DC Defenders and Los Angeles Wildcats are equally promising

This year, the first week of February is going to be fruitful for all football fans around the world. After the end of the 2019 NFL season, a lot of people draw their attention towards the 2020 XFL odds as the games return.

After a 19-years break, the XFL will host a 10 week season with 5 home games. Let’s see which team will beat the 2020 XFL betting odds.

Back in 2018, Alpha Entertainment announced a relaunch of XFL games.  A 10-week season is going to start on the 8th of February, 2020. The event will receive decent media coverage: games are going to be broadcast on ABC, Fox, ESPN, and ESPN2. Moreover, fans can also watch streams on Fox Sports GO and ESPN+ apps. According to Vince McMahon, the maximum duration of a game won’t exceed three hours.

Dallas Renegades – 2020 XFL odds-on favorite

Currently, the team from Arlington, Texas, is a favorite of numerous online betting sites in the US. There is a reason for this – Landry Johns, the team’s quarterback, is currently the XFL’s biggest name; he also has a successful NFL experience.  Moreover, also signed a contract with two running backs, who played in the NFL – Lance Dunbar and Cameron Artis-Payne.

However, on the 8th of January, Renegades announced that Landry Johns is going to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks due to the knee injury. Dallas Renegades remains the most popular team with +300 odds, according to XFL betting predictions. After all, their future success depends on how they would operate as a unit.

The New York Guardians – winners or challengers?

The State of New York, along with Los Angeles are two metropolitan areas that participated in both the 2001 XFL and 2020 XFL games. Today, The Guardians train under Kevin Gilbride’s command – Gilbride is a former NFL head coach and a longtime offensive coordinator. The professional team from New York will play against Tampa Bay Vipers on the 9th of February.

Additionally, it is safe to say that betting on the New York Guardians is pretty solid, as they are currently the second most promising team.  The team is on a second place of the 2020 XFL odds, with +400 odds at BetOnline.

DC Defenders – XFL starters

As a part of the new XFL, the DC Defenders will open the season in their hometown, Washington, D.C. The debut game will take place on the 8th of February.  The team is going to host the Seattle Dragons at the Audie Field.

Back in 2019, the team announced that Pep Hamilton will serve as a head coach and a general manager. With such a credible trainer, the DC Defenders are expected to show a great game or at least a great defense. In addition, the team has +500 odds in the 2020 XFL Championship betting.

Los Angeles Wildcats – another Xtreme?

For many of the Wildcat players, the 2020 XFL is a great opportunity to get into the big-time sports. Back in 2001, the Los Angeles Xtreme was the winner of the first and only season of XFL games. This year, the team is going to compete with the Houston Roughnecks on the very first day of the new XFL, following the DC Defenders vs. Seattle Dragons game. Based on predictions of online betting sites in the US, the Los Angeles Wildcats have odds of +500 to win the new XFL.
